Sarah and Graham would like to welcome you to their home in the picturesque market town of Dolgellau situated in the heart of Wales' beautiful Snowdonia National Park in the lee of Cader Idris mountain. Rhinog and Arenig mountain ranges lie all around the town. Bala and the Berwyn mountains aren't far away and can also easily be reached from the town. Aber Cottage itself is next to the river Wnion and is superbly situated near to the Mawddach trail, Torrent walk, Precipice walk to name but a few of the walks. Coed-y-Brenin forest, with its popular forest trails, boasts to being one of the leading mountain bike centers in Europe, is also very near.

The guesthouse is ideally situated in the town and within easy walking distance to excellent restaurants and inns. Guests will appreciate the ambience of the traditional stone cottage that benefits from good quality furniture and fittings for your comfort, with modern en-suite facilities to all rooms, TV, Internet access, complimentary tea/coffee, complimentary toiletries etc. Car parking, one per room, is in our own private car park with secure access.

Hikers, climbers, mountain bikers and other adventure pursuit guests are all very welcome and will find secure storage for their equipment. For those just wanting to take in the beautiful countryside, Dolgellau is surrounded by spectacular landscape which will take your breath away. If you fancy a visit to the coast, the beautiful sandy beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth are only a few miles away.

The guest sitting room and dining room has been decorated in a traditional style, as is the rest of the house, including guest bedrooms. There is a traditional style upholstered suite in the sitting room for guests to relax in at any time. The dining room has a built in breakfast bar where guests can help themselves to cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and fresh juice before enjoying their hot breakfast order.

Aber Cottage is over 250 years old and due to the nature of the building, it may not be suitable for children under 8 years, or for those with limited mobility. Sorry, no pets allowed in the house.
