Beechlands Bed and Breakfast is an Edwardian house in the village of Sleights, 3 miles from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. We are on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Beechlands is a good base to visit some of the beautiful places in the area. Days can be spent visiting coastal towns and villages: Whitby, Scarborough, Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay are all nearby.
Inland there are the North Yorkshire Moors to explore and many picturesque villages to visit. A few minutes drive from Beechlands is the popular village of Goathland (Aidensfield), where the TV series Heartbeat was filmed. There are many walks in the surrounding area, with a waterfall near the Mallyan Spout Hotel and many streams with pretty wooden bridges to cross.
